Two models
Taught leadership vs. practiced leadership.
Taught leadership gives you frameworks, case studies, and language for leadership. Practiced leadership gives you an actual team, actual conflict, and actual consequences for how you handle both — then a mentor to walk through what happened afterward. Both have value. Cross to Life is built on the second, with daily mentorship layered in so the practice actually turns into growth instead of just repetition.

What is Christian leadership development, exactly?
It's the process of building leadership capacity — decision-making, responsibility, conflict resolution, and team management — through real practice and mentorship, framed by Christian character and calling, rather than through leadership theory alone.
Do I need existing leadership experience to apply?
No. Most participants haven't held a formal leadership role before. The year is built to develop leadership from the ground up, not refine leadership you already have.
How is this different from a leadership seminar or conference?
A conference gives you ideas for a weekend. Cross to Life gives you twelve months of actual responsibility, feedback, and correction — leadership development happens in repetition, not in a single event.
Will I lead a team or project during the year?
Yes — through the work rotation, community life, and increasing responsibility as the year progresses, culminating in the final "Leadership" stage of the program.
What happens with that leadership training after the year ends?
Graduates leave with a certificate of completion, real leadership experience, and mentorship relationships that continue — many go on to lead in ministry, college organizations, or their careers.
